Scroll down through those pictures and you'll find Bonnie Franklin with her head annoyingly tilted at a 45-degree angle. And what's Roger Moore doing in that collection?

I loved the OG 70s and 80s “stars” who never bothered to fix their FUG teeth. She’s like the bargain basement version of every lead actresses funny, chubby friend . I’m here for her look. It’s glorious peak neighbor next door who bakes cookies but will poison your dog if it barks while she’s playing cards with the ladies.

I never knew she stepped into Divine’s role in Serial Mom.

I met her at Trader Joe’s several years ago . She is exactly the same in real life . Very kind, soft spoken and approachable. A great lady !

Some friends and I were just chatting about MJC the other weekend! These friends have a friend who lives in Denver and got to know Mary Jo a bit in recent years through some family connection. Said she's a very sweet old gal.

One of those actors you recognize but have no idea what their name is.
| by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 23, 2021 6:25 PM |
Why did they stop showing up on Facts of Life and vice versa?
You would have thought some of the girls would have accompanied Mrs. Garrett to Mr. Drummond's wedding. Especially Tootsie, who seemed to be close to Arnold.
Likewise at the Eastland graduation? Where was Kimberly and the gang?

I worked with her years ago and still have occasional contact with her. She's wonderful as a performer and as a person. Very talented actress in both serious and comic roles. Not lesbian.
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 23, 2021 6:55 PM |
Forget that she's a woman and not remotely attractive, but she also looks like the type of basic frau you bitches constantly mock. She probably has a scrapbooking room and makes things like ambrosia salad and jello molds. So why are we even discussing her on this board?
| by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 23, 2021 7:16 PM |
R29, ^^ LOL. She is so far away from the type of woman you describe.
| by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 23, 2021 7:23 PM |
Then why are you discussing her, r29?
| by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 23, 2021 7:26 PM |
Mrs. Puff on Spongebob Squarepants

Carole Cook's still waiting for Mr. Limpett to return. One of the saddest cartoon movies endings ever. She was quite good in it.
| by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 23, 2021 7:32 PM |
I could tell I loved her from the very first TV scene I saw her in; I was 10 years old. She’s the type I could just hug and get comfort from her soft bosom and her voice. (nothing sexual you sickos.)
| by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 23, 2021 7:33 PM |
I always confused her with Edie McClurg.

The poor man's Jean Stapleton.
| by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 23, 2021 7:38 PM |
Jean Stapleton was the (really) poor man's Shirley Booth.
| by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 23, 2021 7:40 PM |
I was just about to post the same, R36. Both of them really embodied the stereotypical frau to a T.

Elvia Allman was the poor man's Shirley Booth.
| by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 23, 2021 8:00 PM |
She was like me only not funny at all
| by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 23, 2021 8:35 PM |
Not to be confused with Mary Cadorette.

She played a nurse on a couple episodes of "MASH."
| by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 23, 2021 8:59 PM |
Well howdy doo! Oh wait, that was Mrs.Poole.
| by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 24, 2021 12:26 AM |
R44 I think she was one of the nurses when Margaret has her "lousy cup of coffee" speech.
| by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 24, 2021 12:50 AM |
I felt bad for Rosemary Ackerman. Her small kitchen prevented her from recycling. I know the feeling.
| by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 24, 2021 12:54 AM |
R46 Oooh I was right.....haven't watched in years and that scene still made me tear up.
| by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 24, 2021 12:59 AM |
Big whoop! I think every working actress in Hollywood in the 1970s played a nurse on MASH.

| by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 24, 2021 11:24 PM |
Margaret was a cunt and got what she deserved. No coffee for you.

She played Ernestina to Carol Channing's Dolly on tour for years
| by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 25, 2021 1:01 AM |
Mary Jo was the original Ernestina on Broadway. I think she did on tour only once and not with Channing.
